When Things Slow Down

Some days, everything just… sticks.
But not with the right glue. 😅

Yesterday has been full of little hurdles: the adhesive didn’t work the way it should, the costume design didn’t come together like I imagined, and nothing seemed to move forward at the pace I hoped.

It’s frustrating.
But then I take a breath and tell myself: just one step at a time.

Maybe I can’t solve it all today.
But I can fix one detail.
I can cut one piece of fabric.
I can tweak one small thing.
And that’s enough.

Because when I step back and look at what we’ve already done — the puppets taking shape, the set coming alive, the script evolving, and all the brilliant new ideas we’ve had for audience engagement (coming soon, just wait for it!) — I feel proud.

Progress isn’t always fast.
Sometimes it’s quiet, hidden in tiny fixes and small wins.
But it’s still progress.

And we’re getting closer — puppet by puppet, woodchip by woodchip, stitch by stitch.
So here’s to the slow days too. They matter.
